He was born near Agra which is in Uttar Pradesh state of India,the name of village is Akbarpur.
His earlier name was Lakshmi Narayan Sharma And his father name Durga Prasad Sharma.
Date of birth is not still clear.
He died on 11 September 1973, Vrindavan

I would like to tell a story of Baba j which most popular.
one day Baba Neem Karoli wants to go outside from their hometown. they start walking on foot from Akbarpur to farookhabad Railway Station. they reached on time there was a local train they just board that particular train without having a ticket.
after a few time ticket checking staff came and ask iticket from him.
but they don’t have then the ticket checking staff Force to him get out from the train.
in the upcoming railway station he get down from the train and he just sit on chair lying on railway station.
after 5 minutes train blow horn but the train didn’t move.
after a long repetition to start the train driver came out and told to everyone the train is not moving but I did not find any error.
He was just chilling over the chair at the railway station.
the two hours gone train is not able to move.
the fellow passenger of train ask to say sorry to Baba Neem Karoli from ticket checking staff.
after that ticket checking staff go near the Babaji and say sorry and request to come on the train and he boards the train again.
after boarding the train this just tap the inner part of train and he say chalo.
the train start running.
